Fire Suppression

With the help of First Interstate Bank and private donors, the fire suppression system at Shumaker Lodge has been fully upgraded, marking a major step forward in safety and modernization. The old “dry system” has been replaced with a wet system, ensuring water is always in the pipes for faster, more reliable response in the event of a fire. The upgrade also added sprinkler coverage throughout the building, including bedrooms, replaced outdated components, and installed an addressable fire alarm panel to pinpoint alarms more efficiently. Completed with careful attention to both safety and building integrity, this project provides long-term protection for residents and staff while bringing Shumaker fully up to modern fire safety standards.
