Margaret & Anna

Honoring a Legacy of Care and Generosity

At Yellowstone Boys and Girls Ranch Foundation, we treasure stories that remind us how deep compassion and purposeful giving can ripple through generations. Anna is one such inspiring figure.

A highly accomplished nurse and devoted daughter, Anna cared for her mother, Margaret, who lost her sight later in life. That devotion became a driving force behind charitable actions that continue to uplift others.

In 2004, Margaret established a Charitable Remainder Trust—funded with securities—to ensure lifelong support for her daughter while also supporting youth served through the Foundation. Earlier, she had created another trust designed to be funded with the family home, naming Anna as income beneficiary and YBGR Foundation as the charitable remainderman.

When Margaret passed, her thoughtful planning became a lasting testament to her values of love, generosity, and foresight.

Anna continued that tradition. In 2014, she named the Foundation in the beneficiary deed of her own home—quietly and powerfully extending her family’s legacy of compassion.

Beyond her generosity, Anna’s creativity shines through in the zipper pouches she sews by hand—each one a colorful reminder that kindness, like stitching, connects lives in lasting ways.

Together, Margaret and Anna have shaped a legacy stitched with care, generosity, and enduring purpose.
