Amount: $500 – $5,000 per year
Eligible Students: Graduates of Circle High School or nearby McCone County public schools
This scholarship was established by Melvin and Kathryn Johnson to support motivated Montana students who show strong character, academic performance (minimum 3.0 GPA), and commitment to their education. Recipients may attend any accredited 2-year, 4-year, or vocational school, and scholarships can be awarded for up to 4 years.

Eligible Programs:
This scholarship supports Montana students pursuing degrees at Montana State University – Bozeman, with preference given to Yellowstone Academy alumni. Scholarships are renewable based on academic progress.
Eligible Students: Former residents or students of Yellowstone Boys and Girls Ranch / Yellowstone Academy
This scholarship is funded by multiple generous donors, including Kenneth C. Carpenter, Helen Doornbos Hull, Carrol V. Lipp, Lauren P. Miller, and Charles & Edith Blackstone. It supports alumni pursuing degrees or vocational certificates, especially those interested in education, medicine, or Christian service.
Application Requirements:
Students are encouraged to apply by July 1 each year. Scholarships are awarded on a rolling basis if funds remain.
