Asher’s Path Toward Independence

The Right Support at the Right Time

When Asher came to Yellowstone Boys and Girls Ranch at seventeen, he was carrying the weight of anxiety.

With consistent care and support, he began rebuilding his confidence. After completing treatment at the Ranch, Asher transitioned to the STAR Group Home in Billings. That step helped him continue building momentum in a setting that supported both growth and independence.

At the group home, Asher began taking important steps forward. He found a job, learned how to use the city bus route, earned his driver’s license, and built skills that helped him prepare for life beyond care.

Today, Asher is back home in Helena with continued support through community based services. He is surrounded by caring people who are helping him continue his progress and prepare for what comes next.

His story reflects the power of a connected continuum of care. When youth receive the right support at the right time and in the right place, progress becomes possible.

Yellowstone Foundation is proud to support resources that help youth like Asher gain confidence, independence, and hope for the future.
